Three friends agreed to give comedy ten years. They have shared a stage, but they are still unknown as those ten years run out. In tvN’s Happy Anding, the Asura comedy trio meets Go Eun-young, a member of the audience who takes notice. A first fan is welcome, and the friends already have to decide how long they can keep the act going.

The school-day stills show Tae-gu, Nam-il and Jun-seo in separate scenes in uniform. Set them beside the three friends sharing a stage now and it is easier to see that each had a life before Asura. Watch the premiere for what they can say to one another because they are a team, and what is hard to say for the same reason.

The stage Asura has left

Kang Hoon plays the leader, Kang Tae-gu. Tae-gu has held out for years, carrying both his ambition and the responsibility he feels for the team. Kim Nam-il (Cho Hyun-chul) and Han Jun-seo (Kim Jung-jin) may share his stage and imagine a different next ten years. In the episode one preview, watch what the three say to each other after the performance as closely as you watch the act itself.

Follow Nam-il offstage and you will notice Na-yeon watching him. At the press presentation, Moon Hee described her character as someone who has supported him for a long time. Eun-young has just discovered the trio and Na-yeon has watched one person for years. Their different vantage points make it easier to see why the same stage can mean something different to each member of Asura.

The first person in the audience to see them

Go Eun-young (Lee Yi-dam) becomes an enthusiastic fan. For someone as cautious as Eun-young, getting close to the trio is a change in itself. With Nam-il’s longtime girlfriend Lee Na-yeon (Moon Hee) and Eun-young’s sister Go Ji-young (Yoon Ga-i) in the picture, deciding whether to keep doing comedy reaches into relationships offstage.

Jung Ji-hyun and Heo Seok-won directed the series, with a script by Ahn A-reum. Watch for the moment the three friends have to talk about the promise again, after all the time they have spent trying to keep it. Once Asura has its first fan, can Tae-gu still tell his friends what he had been planning to say?
